Dr. Goldis Mitra, MD

I'm a family physician practicing in British Columbia, Canada, where I have a longitudinal family practice at Symphony Health and work at one of the country's busiest hospitals. I've spent years working in health policy and compensation design with BC Family Doctors and Doctors of BC. My work ranges from developing funding models that support better patient care (including BC's Longitudinal Family Physician funding model), to research and advocacy aimed at strengthening primary care.
The Prevention Playbook is my way of extending the conversations that doctors have with patients in the exam room. Too often there's simply not enough time in the office — and the guidance that should be explained once, twice, three times, gets reduced to a single rushed sentence.
My goal is to share high quality information about the preventive care and lifestyle habits that matter most for your long-term health — grounded in reputable research and medical guidelines, delivered without jargon, and free from any commercial influence. No pharmaceutical funding. No lifestyle brand partnerships. Just the evidence, explained.
